There is a desperate need for more trained EMTs across the United States and in the State of South Dakota. Completing an EMT course will provide opportunities to high school students seeking to support community projects, civic service along with future career and academic opportunities available to certified EMTs. Sanford Health has a number of funding options for high school students to participate in the EMT course during the 2023 school year. These partnerships include funding sources from the Department of Labor and Regulation, federal grant funding from SAMHSA, sponsorships and scholarships, and private payment.
