On October 5, 2022, Sturgis Ambulance, Sturgis Mobile Response Team (SMRT) and Sturgis Fire helped with the South Dakota Walk to School day.  Although South Dakota Bike to School day was in May, every child who was wearing a helmet while riding their bike was give a coupon for a Free Icee courtesy of Common Cents.
